Gail Szautner – Chair Gail is the Executive Director of the Children’s Choice Child Development Centres in Prince Albert. She began her career with Children’s Choice in 1983 growing the program from one site to four. Over the years the centres have partnered with Saskatchewan Rivers School Division, Prince Albert Catholic School Division and the Ministry of Education to provide inclusive programs for children identified with special needs. Children’s Choice has a zero rejection policy which Gail has been implementing for over 20 years. Inclusion is all children participating in all parts of the program all of the time. In the past few years partnerships have grown to include Kids First, River Bank Development Corporation, King George Community School, St. Michael Community School and Ecole St. Anne School. Gail is currently Board Chairperson for the Saskatchewan Early Childhood Association, past president of the Canadian Child Care Federation and former Chair of the Minister of Education’s Early Learning & Child Care Advisory Board. She has presented workshops on a variety of early childhood topics across Canada. Angie Stevenson – Vice-ChairAngie graduated ECE Diploma from Kelsey in 2001. She worked as an ECE for 4 years and has director at St. Brieux Community Childcare Centre for 7 years. They have a 74 space facility and accept children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age. She has a staff of about 20. Angie is also the President of the North East Daycare Director’s Co-operative.
Jacque Tisher- Treasurer Jacqueline Tisher, R.N. is the founder and Executive Director of Hope’s Home, early learning complex care center for children with complex medical needs. With a professional background and 20 years’ experience in pediatric nursing, she is a strong supporter of families and children with diverse abilities. Personally, Jacqueline is a parent and foster parent of children with complex medical needs, understanding the needs of these special families. Awarded Saskatchewan Health Care Excellence Award 2010 in Community Leadership and 2013 YWCA Women of Distinction – Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Jacqueline is a leader in health care and community development while dedicating her life to children. Denise Skuce - Secretary Karin Duff Michelle Johnson Brigitte Chassé Brigitte was born in province of Québec. She graduated from Cegep of Rimouski in Specialized Education. During her work experience she developed a passion for children, She moved to Saskatchewan in 1999 with the opportunity to work as an Early Childhood Educator at Gard’ amis, a French child care centre in Regina. In 2006 Brigitte had the opportunity to act as the Director at Félix le Chat in Saskatoon. Currently she is employed with le Conseil des écoles fransaskoises where she is involved in childcare centre development, supports the RH in the field, and facilitates workshops in French to insure a quality in the French services to families and children. Jadranka Pocrnic Randi BodasRandi Bodas was born and raised in Regina SK. She received her Early Childhood Education Diploma from SIAST, and is currently working on obtaining her Human Resources Management Certificate. Randi has been an Early Childhood Educator since 2004, and a Director since 2010. She is currently employed at the YMCA of Regina and loves what she does..
Randi feels that early education is highly important and needs to be recognized as such. Her dream is to see the ECE field grow and become a more professional and rewarding career choice for all who give their hearts and souls to the children they work with. We are a huge part of who these children will grow up to be. Keep your passion, and cultivate your education to grow as a professional.
